I would say bloodlines is the more useful upgrade for scouts.

With a scout rush, your initial focus is just to quickly get up a stable and pump scouts. With a Knight rush you research Scale Barding Armor early (before Castle if you've got lots of food) since you can research it while aging up and you've already built a blacksmith. I don't scout rush a lot but I think Scale Barding Armor is only researched fairly late (if at all) in a scout rush. This will give them the HP upgrade roughly by the point that they start to actually get hit, and it allows me to focus my micro on the initial attack instead of having to micro the attack + reinforcements.Īnd you should have done the defense upgrade first right? I prefer to research bloodlines when my cavalry is heading out to attack the enemy. Here's a YT video tutorial by BBQTurkman explaining it more in detail: Īt what point is it worth it to research bloodlines instead of building another scout? Drop a stable with 2-3 vils, get double bit axe & horse collar, (wall off more area), start dropping farms with injured/new vils (+ make use of straggler trees in the beginning) Build a barracks nearby at 60% with a villager Start micro-walling your wood, berries & gold

Distrubute hunters & shepherds up to a total of 10 on wood (5+5 per LC), leave the remaining vils on sheep (straggler trees when finished) Pop 19-22 -> wood (build 2nd lumber camp) Pop 12-15 -> berries (use hunter to lure 2nd boar meanwhile, get two farms with injured vils afterwards) You can follow this standard build order: Most of the time, a scout rush is conducted with Huns. r/projectceleste - Age of Empires Online Official Forums - Bug Reporting/Ask for HelpĪrchive of Old/Inactive Channels - WIP - here Other AoE Communities Microsoft Store - AoE2 Definitive Edition. No streams are currently live.\n Play Online
